pg_bsd_indent is the official way the PostgreSQL developers reformat code before release. It is also recommended to be used by developers for code changes prior to submission. It is a fork of FreeBSD’s indent.
There are three methods to install pg-bsd-indent on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pg-bsd-indent Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install pg-bsd-indent using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pg-bsd-indent
Install pg-bsd-indent Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install pg-bsd-indent using apt by running the following command:
