In this tutorial we learn how to install perl6-zef on Ubuntu.
What is perl6-zef
perl6-zef is:
Zef is a Raku / Perl 6 module (package) manager. It can be used to download and install Raku / Perl 6 modules in your home directory or as a system-wide module.
There are three methods to install perl6-zef on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install perl6-zef Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install perl6-zef using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install perl6-zef
Install perl6-zef Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install perl6-zef using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install perl6-zef
Install perl6-zef Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install perl6-zef using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install perl6-zef
How To Uninstall perl6-zef on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the perl6-zef package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove perl6-zef
Uninstall perl6-zef And Its Dependencies
To uninstall perl6-zef and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove perl6-zef
Remove perl6-zef Configurations and Data
To remove perl6-zef configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge perl6-zef

We can use the following command to remove perl6-zef configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
