What is pd-upp
pd-upp is:
The Universal Polyphonic Player (short UPP) is an infrastructure for all kinds of polyphonic events – be it note-like events, other generated sounds or short grains in granular synthesis. The strengths of the system are a modular, easily extendible design, almost unlimited polyphony, ease of control, DSP load scaling and sample-accurate timing.
There are three methods to install pd-upp on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pd-upp Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install pd-upp using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pd-upp

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install pd-upp using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pd-upp
Install pd-upp Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install pd-upp using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install pd-upp
How To Uninstall pd-upp on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the pd-upp package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pd-upp

To uninstall pd-upp and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pd-upp
Remove pd-upp Configurations and Data
To remove pd-upp configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pd-upp
