pd-lib-builder is:
Makefile based build-system for Pure Data external libraries, with the following characteristics:
- defines build settings based on autodetected OS and architecture
- defines rules to build Pd class- or lib executables from C or C++ sources
- defines rules for libdir installation
- defines convenience targets for developer and user
- evaluates implicit dependencies for non-clean builds
There are three methods to install pd-lib-builder on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pd-lib-builder Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install pd-lib-builder using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pd-lib-builder

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install pd-lib-builder using apt by running the following command:
