How To Install openjade on Ubuntu

Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install openjade on Ubuntu.
What is openjade
openjade is:
OpenJade is an implementation of the ISO/IEC 10179:1996 standard DSSSL language. It is based on James Clark’s Jade software.
The OpenJade processor, in conjunction with a DSSSL style sheet, is capable of translating SGML documents into other formats. Output formats currently supported are RTF, HTML, MIF, JadeTeX, or an XML representation of the flow object tree. Using its own non-standard system, it is also capable of transforming one SGML or XML DTD to another.

There are three methods to install openjade on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install openjade Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install openjade using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install openjade
Install openjade Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install openjade using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install openjade
Install openjade Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install openjade using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install openjade
How To Uninstall openjade on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the openjade package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove openjade
Uninstall openjade And Its Dependencies
To uninstall openjade and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove openjade
Remove openjade Configurations and Data
To remove openjade configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge openjade
Remove openjade configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove openjade configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge openjade
