In this tutorial we learn how to install omake-doc on Ubuntu.

What is omake-doc

omake-doc is:

OMake is a build system designed to scale from small projects to very large projects spanning many directories. OMake uses a syntax similar to GNU make, with many additional features. It contains specifications for easily building C, OCaml, and LaTeX programs, but can be used to build projects with other languages as well.

This package contains documentation for OMake in html and pdf formats.

There are three methods to install omake-doc on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install omake-doc Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install omake-doc using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install omake-doc

Install omake-doc Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install omake-doc using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install omake-doc

Install omake-doc Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install omake-doc using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install omake-doc

How To Uninstall omake-doc on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the omake-doc package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove omake-doc

Uninstall omake-doc And Its Dependencies

To uninstall omake-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove omake-doc

Remove omake-doc Configurations and Data

To remove omake-doc configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge omake-doc

Remove omake-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove omake-doc configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge omake-doc
