What is oidc-agent-cli

oidc-agent-cli is:

oidc-agent is a set of tools to manage OpenID Connect tokens and make them easily usable from the command line. These tools follow ssh-agent design, so OIDC tokens can be handled in a similar way as ssh keys. The agent stores multiple configurations and their associated refresh tokens securely. This tool consists of five programs:

There are three methods to install oidc-agent-cli on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install oidc-agent-cli Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install oidc-agent-cli using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install oidc-agent-cli

Install oidc-agent-cli Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install oidc-agent-cli using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install oidc-agent-cli

Install oidc-agent-cli Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install oidc-agent-cli using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install oidc-agent-cli

How To Uninstall oidc-agent-cli on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the oidc-agent-cli package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove oidc-agent-cli

Uninstall oidc-agent-cli And Its Dependencies

To uninstall oidc-agent-cli and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove oidc-agent-cli

Remove oidc-agent-cli Configurations and Data

To remove oidc-agent-cli configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge oidc-agent-cli

Remove oidc-agent-cli configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove oidc-agent-cli configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge oidc-agent-cli
