What is ocaml-base-nox
ocaml-base-nox is:
Objective Caml (OCaml) is an implementation of the ML language, based on the Caml Light dialect extended with a complete class-based object system and a powerful module system in the style of Standard ML.
This is a transitional package and can be safely removed.
There are three methods to install ocaml-base-nox
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ocaml-base-nox Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ocaml-base-nox
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ocaml-base-nox

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ocaml-base-nox
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ocaml-base-nox

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ocaml-base-nox

How To Uninstall ocaml-base-nox on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the ocaml-base-nox
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ocaml-base-nox

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ocaml-base-nox

configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ocaml-base-nox
