In this tutorial we learn how to install node-leche on Ubuntu.

What is node-leche

node-leche is:

Leche is a JavaScript testing utility designed to work with Mocha and Sinon. This is intended for use both by Node.js and in browsers, so any changes must work in both locations.

Sinon is a set of standalone test spies, stubs and mocks for JavaScript working with any unit testing framework.

Node.js is an event-based server-side JavaScript engine.

There are three methods to install node-leche on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install node-leche Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install node-leche using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install node-leche

Install node-leche Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install node-leche using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install node-leche

Install node-leche Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install node-leche using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install node-leche

How To Uninstall node-leche on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the node-leche package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove node-leche

Uninstall node-leche And Its Dependencies

To uninstall node-leche and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove node-leche

Remove node-leche Configurations and Data

To remove node-leche configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge node-leche

Remove node-leche configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove node-leche configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge node-leche
