EventEmitter3 has been micro-optimized for various code paths making this, one of, if not the fastest EventEmitter available for Node.js and browsers. The module is API compatible with the EventEmitter that ships by default with Node.js but there are some slight differences.
It is a drop in replacement for existing EventEmitters, but just faster. The EventEmitter is written in EcmaScript 3 so it will work in the oldest browsers and node versions that one might need to support.

There are three methods to install node-eventemitter3 on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install node-eventemitter3 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo apt-get -y purge node-eventemitter3
Remove node-eventemitter3 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove node-eventemitter3 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge node-eventemitter3
