What is menu
menu is:
Debian menu keeps transparently the menus in the different window-managers in sync with the list of installed programs.
Debian menu relies on a list of menu entries provided by programs and a list of menu-methods provided by window-managers and other menu-aware applications.
Menu provides system-level and user-level configuration and overrides for both menu entries and menu-methods.
There are three methods to install menu
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install menu Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install menu
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install menu

After updating apt database, We can install menu
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install menu
Install menu Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
