In this tutorial we learn how to install marco-common
on Ubuntu.
What is marco-common
marco-common is:
Marco is a small window manager, using GTK+ to do everything. It is developed mainly for the MATE Desktop.
This package contains the architecture independent files.
There are three methods to install marco-common
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install marco-common Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install marco-common
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install marco-common
