In this tutorial we learn how to install libznz3
on Ubuntu.
What is libznz3
libznz3 is:
Niftilib is a set of i/o libraries for reading and writing files in the NIfTI-1 data format. NIfTI-1 is a binary file format for storing medical image data, e.g. magnetic resonance image (MRI) and functional MRI (fMRI) brain images.
This package contains the shared library low-level IO library znzlib.
There are three methods to install libznz3
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libznz3 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libznz3
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libznz3

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libznz3
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libznz3
Install libznz3 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libznz3
using aptitude

To uninstall only the libznz3
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libznz3

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libznz3

sudo apt-get -y purge libznz3
