on Ubuntu.
What is libzbd2
libzbd2 is:
libzbd uses the kernel provided zoned block device interface based on the ioctl() system call. It provides functions for discovering and managing the state of zones of zoned block devices. Read and write accesses to the devices can be done using standard standard I/O system calls.
This package contains the shared library.
There are three methods to install libzbd2
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libzbd2 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libzbd2
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libzbd2

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libzbd2
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libzbd2
Install libzbd2 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update

using aptitude
