In this tutorial we learn how to install libyang1 on Ubuntu.
What is libyang1
libyang1 is:
Libyang implements functions to process schemas expressed in the YANG data modeling language defined by the IETF in RFCs 6020/7950. Schemas expressed in this language primarily describe configuration used by larger network equipment like routers and switches.
In addition to handling the schemas itself, the library also provides functions to process data described by the schemas.
The library is implemented in C and provides an API for other software to use in processing configurations.
There are three methods to install libyang1 on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libyang1 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libyang1 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libyang1
