libxml-libxml-perl is:
XML::LibXML is a Perl interface to the GNOME libxml2 library, which provides interfaces for parsing and manipulating XML files. This module allows Perl programmers to make use of the highly capable validating XML parser and the high performance Document Object Model (DOM) implementation. Additionally, it supports using the XML Path Language (XPath) to find and extract information.
There are three methods to install libxml-libxml-perl on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libxml-libxml-perl Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libxml-libxml-perl using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libxml-libxml-perl
Install libxml-libxml-perl Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libxml-libxml-perl using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libxml-libxml-perl
Install libxml-libxml-perl Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libxml-libxml-perl using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libxml-libxml-perl
How To Uninstall libxml-libxml-perl on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the libxml-libxml-perl package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libxml-libxml-perl
Uninstall libxml-libxml-perl And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libxml-libxml-perl and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libxml-libxml-perl
Remove libxml-libxml-perl Configurations and Data
To remove libxml-libxml-perl configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libxml-libxml-perl
Remove libxml-libxml-perl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
