Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libwrap0 on Ubuntu.
What is libwrap0
libwrap0 is:
Wietse Venema’s network logger, also known as TCPD or LOG_TCP.
These programs log the client host name of incoming telnet, ftp, rsh, rlogin, finger etc. requests.
Security options are:
- access control per host, domain and/or service;
- detection of host name spoofing or host address spoofing;
- booby traps to implement an early-warning system.
There are three methods to install libwrap0 on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libwrap0 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
