Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libwoff1 on Ubuntu.
What is libwoff1
libwoff1 is:
woff2 is a library for converting fonts from the TTF format to the WOFF 2.0 format. The library also allows decompression from WOFF 2.0 to TTF.
The WOFF 2.0 format uses the Brotli compression algorithm to compress fonts suitable for use in CSS @font-face rules. WOFF 2.0 is a W3C Candidate Recommendation.
There are three methods to install libwoff1 on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libwoff1 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libwoff1 using apt-get by running the following command:
