In this tutorial we learn how to install libveyon-core on Ubuntu.

What is libveyon-core

libveyon-core is:

Veyon is a software for computer monitoring and classroom management supporting Windows and Linux. It enables teachers to view and control computer labs and interact with students. Veyon is available in many different languages and provides numerous features supporting teachers and administrators at their daily work:

Veyon is the continuation of iTALC.

This package provides the core libraries needed for all Veyon components.

There are three methods to install libveyon-core on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libveyon-core Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libveyon-core using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libveyon-core

Install libveyon-core Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install libveyon-core using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install libveyon-core

Install libveyon-core Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install libveyon-core using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install libveyon-core

How To Uninstall libveyon-core on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the libveyon-core package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libveyon-core

Uninstall libveyon-core And Its Dependencies

To uninstall libveyon-core and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libveyon-core

Remove libveyon-core Configurations and Data

To remove libveyon-core configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libveyon-core

Remove libveyon-core configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove libveyon-core configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libveyon-core
