This libvdeplug nested plugin module implements VLANs (802.1q). With this plugin VLANs are implemented in a distributed fashion. The tagging (and untagging) of the packets is done, not by the switch, but by the plugin (attached to the VM).

There are three methods to install libvdeplug-vlan on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
