Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libvde0 on Ubuntu.
What is libvde0
libvde0 is:
VDE is a virtual switch that can connect multiple virtual machines together, both local and remote.
Components of the VDE architecture are VDE switches (virtual counterpart of ethernet switches) and VDE cables (virtual counterpart of a crossed-cable used to connect two switches).
This package contains a library to interact with vde_switch management console using pre-made unattended scripts.
There are three methods to install libvde0 on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libvde0 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libvde0 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libvde0

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libvde0 using apt by running the following command:
