Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install libupb0 on Ubuntu.

What is libupb0

libupb0 is:

upb generates a C API for creating, parsing, and serializing messages as declared in .proto files. upb is heavily arena-based: all messages always live in an arena (note: the arena can live in stack or static memory if desired).

This package contains the runtime libraries needed for upb.

There are three methods to install libupb0 on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libupb0 Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libupb0 using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libupb0
