How To Install libtorch-test on Ubuntu

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install libtorch-test on Ubuntu.

What is libtorch-test

libtorch-test is:

PyTorch is a Python package that provides two high-level features:

(1) Tensor computation (like NumPy) with strong GPU acceleration (2) Deep neural networks built on a tape-based autograd system

You can reuse your favorite Python packages such as NumPy, SciPy and Cython to extend PyTorch when needed.

This is the CPU-only version of PyTorch and Caffe2 (Test Binaries).

There are three methods to install libtorch-test on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libtorch-test Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libtorch-test using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libtorch-test

Install libtorch-test Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install libtorch-test using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install libtorch-test

Install libtorch-test Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install libtorch-test using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install libtorch-test

How To Uninstall libtorch-test on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the libtorch-test package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libtorch-test

Uninstall libtorch-test And Its Dependencies

To uninstall libtorch-test and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libtorch-test

Remove libtorch-test Configurations and Data

To remove libtorch-test configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libtorch-test

Remove libtorch-test configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove libtorch-test configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libtorch-test
