What is libtiled1
libtiled1 is:
Tiled is a general purpose tile map editor. It’s built to be easy to use, yet capable of catering to a host of varying game engines, whether your game is an RPG, platformer or Breakout clone. Tiled supports plugins to read and write map formats, in addition to its map format, to support map formats in use by engines.
This package contains the library to read the map files.
There are three methods to install libtiled1 on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libtiled1 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libtiled1 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libtiled1
Install libtiled1 Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libtiled1 using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libtiled1
Install libtiled1 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libtiled1 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libtiled1
How To Uninstall libtiled1 on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the libtiled1 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libtiled1
Uninstall libtiled1 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libtiled1 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libtiled1
Remove libtiled1 Configurations and Data
To remove libtiled1 configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libtiled1
Remove libtiled1 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
