In this tutorial we learn how to install libsub-exporter-perl on Ubuntu.

What is libsub-exporter-perl

Sub::Exporter provides a sophisticated alternative to Exporter.pm. It allows for renaming, currying/sub-generation etc.

Sub::Exporter builds a custom exporter which can then be installed into your module. It builds this method based on configuration passed to its setup_exporter method.

There are three methods to install libsub-exporter-perl on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libsub-exporter-perl Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libsub-exporter-perl using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libsub-exporter-perl

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install libsub-exporter-perl using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install libsub-exporter-perl

Install libsub-exporter-perl Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install libsub-exporter-perl using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install libsub-exporter-perl

How To Uninstall libsub-exporter-perl on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the libsub-exporter-perl package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libsub-exporter-perl

To uninstall libsub-exporter-perl and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libsub-exporter-perl

To remove libsub-exporter-perl configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libsub-exporter-perl

Remove libsub-exporter-perl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
