How To Install libspecter-clojure on Ubuntu

Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libspecter-clojure on Ubuntu.
What is libspecter-clojure
libspecter-clojure is:
Most of Clojure programming involves creating, manipulating, and transforming immutable values. However, as soon as your values become more complicated than a simple map or list – like a list of maps of maps – transforming these data structures becomes extremely cumbersome.
Specter is a library (for both Clojure and ClojureScript) for doing these queries and transformations extremely concisely and elegantly. These kinds of manipulations are so common when using Clojure – and so cumbersome without Specter – that Specter is in many ways Clojure’s missing piece.
There are three methods to install libspecter-clojure on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libspecter-clojure Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libspecter-clojure using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libspecter-clojure
Install libspecter-clojure Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libspecter-clojure using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libspecter-clojure
Install libspecter-clojure Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libspecter-clojure using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libspecter-clojure
How To Uninstall libspecter-clojure on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the libspecter-clojure package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libspecter-clojure
Uninstall libspecter-clojure And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libspecter-clojure and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libspecter-clojure
Remove libspecter-clojure Configurations and Data
To remove libspecter-clojure configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libspecter-clojure
Remove libspecter-clojure configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libspecter-clojure configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libspecter-clojure
