In this tutorial we learn how to install libsigrokdecode4 on Ubuntu.

What is libsigrokdecode4

libsigrokdecode4 is:

libsigrokdecode is a shared library which provides (streaming) protocol decoding functionality.

The protocol decoders are written in Python (>= 3.2).

This package contains the shared library and the protocol decoders.

There are three methods to install libsigrokdecode4 on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
