In this tutorial we learn how to install librtimulib-utils on Ubuntu.

What is librtimulib-utils

librtimulib-utils is:

The simplest way to connect a 9-dof, 10-dof or 11-dof IMU to an embedded Linux system and obtain Kalman-filtered quaternion or Euler angle pose data. Basically, two simple function calls (IMUInit() and IMURead()) are pretty much all that’s needed to integrate RTIMULib.

This package provides the calibration utility.

There are three methods to install librtimulib-utils on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install librtimulib-utils Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install librtimulib-utils using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install librtimulib-utils

Install librtimulib-utils Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install librtimulib-utils using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install librtimulib-utils

Install librtimulib-utils Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install librtimulib-utils using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install librtimulib-utils

How To Uninstall librtimulib-utils on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the librtimulib-utils package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove librtimulib-utils

Uninstall librtimulib-utils And Its Dependencies

To uninstall librtimulib-utils and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove librtimulib-utils

Remove librtimulib-utils Configurations and Data

To remove librtimulib-utils configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge librtimulib-utils

Remove librtimulib-utils configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove librtimulib-utils configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge librtimulib-utils
