Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libropkg-perl
on Ubuntu.
What is libropkg-perl
libropkg-perl is:
RoPkg consists from a Rsync module, a DB module and some base classes. The Rsync module parses rsync configuration and client log files, being able to generate new rsync configuration files without losing your comments or separator lines. The DB module implements a singleton database pool class which is able to connect to multiple databases at once and a database object (an object who can be loaded/saved from/to a database).

There are three methods to install libropkg-perl
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libropkg-perl Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libropkg-perl
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libropkg-perl
Install libropkg-perl Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libropkg-perl
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libropkg-perl
Install libropkg-perl Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libropkg-perl
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libropkg-perl
How To Uninstall libropkg-perl on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the libropkg-perl
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libropkg-perl
Uninstall libropkg-perl And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libropkg-perl
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libropkg-perl
Remove libropkg-perl Configurations and Data
To remove libropkg-perl
configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libropkg-perl

We can use the following command to remove libropkg-perl
