What is librime-plugin-lua

librime-plugin-lua is:

RIME is the acronym of Rime Input Method Engine.

RIME is a lightweight, extensible input method engine supporting various input schematas including glyph-based input methods, romanization-based input methods as well as those for Chinese dialects. It has the ability to compose phrases and sentences intelligently and provide very accurate traditional Chinese output. RIME’s cross-platform core library is written in C++, and can work consistently on different platforms with OS-specific wrappers.

This package provides lua extension plugin for RIME with the following features:

There are three methods to install librime-plugin-lua on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install librime-plugin-lua Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install librime-plugin-lua using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install librime-plugin-lua

Install librime-plugin-lua Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install librime-plugin-lua using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install librime-plugin-lua

Install librime-plugin-lua Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install librime-plugin-lua using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install librime-plugin-lua

How To Uninstall librime-plugin-lua on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the librime-plugin-lua package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove librime-plugin-lua

Uninstall librime-plugin-lua And Its Dependencies

To uninstall librime-plugin-lua and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove librime-plugin-lua

Remove librime-plugin-lua Configurations and Data

To remove librime-plugin-lua configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge librime-plugin-lua

Remove librime-plugin-lua configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove librime-plugin-lua configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge librime-plugin-lua
