In this tutorial we learn how to install librgw2 on Ubuntu.

What is `librgw2`

librgw2 is:

RADOS is a distributed object store used by the Ceph distributed storage system. This package provides a REST gateway to the object store that aims to implement a superset of Amazon’s S3 service.

This package contains the library interface and headers only.

There are three methods to install librgw2 on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install librgw2 Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install librgw2 using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install librgw2
