Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install libreoffice-l10n-nso on Ubuntu.

What is libreoffice-l10n-nso

libreoffice-l10n-nso is:

LibreOffice is a full-featured office productivity suite that provides a near drop-in replacement for Microsoft(R) Office.

This package contains the localization of LibreOffice in Northern_sotho. It contains the user interface, the templates and the autotext features. (please note that not all this is available for all possible languages). You can switch user interface language using the locales system.

Spelling dictionaries, hyphenation patterns, thesauri and help are not included in this package. There are some available in separate packages (myspell-, hyphen-, mythes-, libreoffice-help-)

If you just want to be able to spellcheck etc. in other languages, you can install extra dictionaries/hyphenation patterns/thesauri independently of the language packs.

There are three methods to install libreoffice-l10n-nso on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libreoffice-l10n-nso Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libreoffice-l10n-nso using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libreoffice-l10n-nso

Install libreoffice-l10n-nso Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install libreoffice-l10n-nso using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install libreoffice-l10n-nso

Install libreoffice-l10n-nso Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install libreoffice-l10n-nso using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install libreoffice-l10n-nso

How To Uninstall libreoffice-l10n-nso on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the libreoffice-l10n-nso package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libreoffice-l10n-nso

Uninstall libreoffice-l10n-nso And Its Dependencies

To uninstall libreoffice-l10n-nso and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libreoffice-l10n-nso

Remove libreoffice-l10n-nso Configurations and Data

To remove libreoffice-l10n-nso configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libreoffice-l10n-nso

Remove libreoffice-l10n-nso configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove libreoffice-l10n-nso configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libreoffice-l10n-nso
