libreoffice-avmedia-backend-gstreamer is:

LibreOffice is a full-featured office productivity suite that provides a near drop-in replacement for Microsoft(R) Office.

This package used to contain the GStreamer backend for LibreOffice. This has now been merged into the “core” package and this package thus can be safely removed once installed.

To remove libreoffice-avmedia-backend-gstreamer configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libreoffice-avmedia-backend-gstreamer

Remove libreoffice-avmedia-backend-gstreamer configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove libreoffice-avmedia-backend-gstreamer configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libreoffice-avmedia-backend-gstreamer
