How To Install libqdox-java on Ubuntu

Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libqdox-java
on Ubuntu.
What is libqdox-java
libqdox-java is:
qdox quickly parses Java source files looking for key items of interest:
- class and interface definitions
- member declarations
- import statements
- JavaDoc comments
qdox ignores all other components of Java source, such as actual method implementations, to avoid overhead. qdox returns a simple document model containing only the declarations and containing enough information to be useful.
There are three methods to install libqdox-java
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libqdox-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libqdox-java
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libqdox-java

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libqdox-java
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libqdox-java
Install libqdox-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libqdox-java
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libqdox-java
How To Uninstall libqdox-java on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the libqdox-java
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libqdox-java
Uninstall libqdox-java And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libqdox-java
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libqdox-java
Remove libqdox-java Configurations and Data
To remove libqdox-java
configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libqdox-java
Remove libqdox-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libqdox-java

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libqdox-java
