on Ubuntu.
What is libplist3
libplist3 is:
libplist is a library for reading and writing the Apple binary and XML property lists format. It’s part of the libimobiledevice stack, providing access to iDevices (iPod, iPhone, iPad …).
There are three methods to install libplist3
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libplist3 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libplist3
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libplist3

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libplist3
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libplist3
Install libplist3 Using aptitude
