How To Install libparboiled-java on Ubuntu

In this tutorial we learn how to install libparboiled-java
on Ubuntu.
What is libparboiled-java
libparboiled-java is:
Parboiled is a library providing parsing of arbitrary input text based on Parsing expression grammars (PEGs). PEGs are an alternative to context free grammars (CFGs) for formally specifying syntax, they make a good replacement for regular expressions and generally have quite a few advantages over the “traditional” way of building parsers via CFGs.
There are three methods to install libparboiled-java
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libparboiled-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libparboiled-java
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libparboiled-java
Install libparboiled-java Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libparboiled-java
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libparboiled-java
Install libparboiled-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libparboiled-java
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libparboiled-java
How To Uninstall libparboiled-java on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the libparboiled-java
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libparboiled-java
Uninstall libparboiled-java And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libparboiled-java
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libparboiled-java
Remove libparboiled-java Configurations and Data
To remove libparboiled-java
configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libparboiled-java
Remove libparboiled-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libparboiled-java
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libparboiled-java
