In this tutorial we learn how to install libosmogb11 on Ubuntu.

What is libosmogb11

This is part of the libosmocore “meta”-library. The libosmocore library contains various utility functions that were originally developed as part of the OpenBSC project, but which are of a more generic nature and thus useful to (at least) other programs that are developed in the sphere of Free Software / Open Source mobile communication.

The libosmogb library in particular contains a GPRS BSSGP protocol implementation.

There are three methods to install libosmogb11 on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libosmogb11 Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo aptitude -y install libosmogb11

How To Uninstall libosmogb11 on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the libosmogb11 package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libosmogb11

To uninstall libosmogb11 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libosmogb11

Remove libosmogb11 Configurations and Data

To remove libosmogb11 configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libosmogb11

Remove libosmogb11 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove libosmogb11 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
