What is libodbc1
libodbc1 is:
UnixODBC is an implementation of the Open Database Connectivity standard, a database abstraction layer that allows applications to be used with many different relational databases by way of a single library.
This package provides symlinks to the odbc and odbccr libraries.
This is a transitional package. It can be safely removed.
There are three methods to install libodbc1
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libodbc1 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libodbc1
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libodbc1

package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libodbc1

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libodbc1

configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libodbc1
