What is libmtdev-dev
libmtdev-dev is:
libmtdev is a library for translating evdev multitouch events using the legacy protocol to the new multitouch slots protocol. This is necessary for kernel drivers that have not been updated to use the newer protocol.
This package contains files that are needed to build applications.
There are three methods to install libmtdev-dev on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libmtdev-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
