In this tutorial we learn how to install libmoo-perl
on Ubuntu.
What is libmoo-perl
libmoo-perl is:
Moo is an extremely light-weight, high-performance Moose replacement. It also avoids depending on any XS modules to allow simple deployments. The name Moo is based on the idea that it provides almost - but not quite - two thirds of Moose.
Unlike Mouse this module does not aim at full Moose compatibility. See INCOMPATIBILITIES in Moo(3pm) for more details.
There are three methods to install libmoo-perl
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libmoo-perl Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libmoo-perl
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libmoo-perl

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libmoo-perl
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libmoo-perl

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libmoo-perl
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libmoo-perl
How To Uninstall libmoo-perl on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the libmoo-perl
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libmoo-perl
Uninstall libmoo-perl And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libmoo-perl
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libmoo-perl
Remove libmoo-perl Configurations and Data
To remove libmoo-perl
configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libmoo-perl
Remove libmoo-perl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
