In this tutorial we learn how to install libmojo-pg-perl on Ubuntu.

What is libmojo-pg-perl

libmojo-pg-perl is:

Mojo::Pg is a wrapper around DBD::Pg that makes PostgreSQL a lot of fun to use with the Mojolicious real-time web framework.

Features of note include URL-based database connections, automatic transaction rollback support, database migrations written in plain SQL, and asynchronous triggers.

Support for Mojo::Pg is present in the Minion job queue for Mojolicious.

There are three methods to install libmojo-pg-perl on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libmojo-pg-perl Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libmojo-pg-perl using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libmojo-pg-perl

Install libmojo-pg-perl Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install libmojo-pg-perl using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install libmojo-pg-perl

Install libmojo-pg-perl Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install libmojo-pg-perl using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install libmojo-pg-perl

How To Uninstall libmojo-pg-perl on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the libmojo-pg-perl package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libmojo-pg-perl

Uninstall libmojo-pg-perl And Its Dependencies

To uninstall libmojo-pg-perl and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libmojo-pg-perl

Remove libmojo-pg-perl Configurations and Data

To remove libmojo-pg-perl configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libmojo-pg-perl

Remove libmojo-pg-perl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove libmojo-pg-perl configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libmojo-pg-perl
