libmfx1 is:
Intel® Media SDK provides an API to access hardware-accelerated video decode, encode and filtering on Intel® platforms with integrated graphics.
Supported video encoders: HEVC, AVC, MPEG-2, JPEG Supported Video decoders: HEVC, AVC, VP8, MPEG-2, VC1, JPEG Supported video pre-processing filters: Color Conversion, Deinterlace, Denoise, Resize, Rotate, Composition

There are three methods to install libmfx1 on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libmfx1 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libmfx1 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libmfx1
