In this tutorial we learn how to install libjs-vue on Ubuntu.
What is libjs-vue
libjs-vue is:
Vue is a flexible, non-opinionated, non-monolithic, incrementally adoptable JavaScript framework for building user interfaces with JavaScript or TypeScript.
It provides data-reactive components with a simple and flexible API.
The core library focuses on declarative rendering and component composition.
Vue core when used in combination with its supporting libraries and modern tooling is also perfectly capable of powering sophisticated Single-Page Applications.
This package contains the browser (UMD) build.
There are three methods to install libjs-vue on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libjs-vue Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libjs-vue using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libjs-vue

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libjs-vue using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libjs-vue

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libjs-vue using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libjs-vue
How To Uninstall libjs-vue on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the libjs-vue package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libjs-vue

To uninstall libjs-vue and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libjs-vue
Remove libjs-vue Configurations and Data
To remove libjs-vue configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libjs-vue
