What is libjaxb-java
libjaxb-java is:
GlassFish Java Architecture for XML Binding (JAXB) Reference Implementation.
Java Architecture for XML Binding (JAXB) provides a fast and convenient way to bind XML schemas and Java representations, making it easy for Java developers to incorporate XML data and processing functions in Java applications. As part of this process, JAXB provides methods for unmarshalling (reading) XML instance documents into Java content trees, and then marshalling (writing) Java content trees back into XML instance documents. JAXB also provides a way to generate XML schema from Java objects.
There are three methods to install libjaxb-java
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libjaxb-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libjaxb-java
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libjaxb-java
Install libjaxb-java Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libjaxb-java
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libjaxb-java
Install libjaxb-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libjaxb-java
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libjaxb-java
How To Uninstall libjaxb-java on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the libjaxb-java
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libjaxb-java
Uninstall libjaxb-java And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libjaxb-java
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libjaxb-java
Remove libjaxb-java Configurations and Data
To remove libjaxb-java
configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libjaxb-java
Remove libjaxb-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libjaxb-java
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libjaxb-java
