What is libhawknl

libhawknl is:

HawkNL is a free, open source, game oriented network API.

HawkNL (NL) is a fairly low level API, a wrapper over Berkeley/Unix Sockets and Winsock. But NL also provides other features including support for:

• Multiple operating systems.
• Groups of sockets
• Socket statistics
• High accuracy timer
• CRC functions
• Macros to read and write data to packets with endian conversion
• Multiple network transports.

There are three methods to install libhawknl on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
