In this tutorial we learn how to install libguava-java on Ubuntu.
What is libguava-java
libguava-java is:
Guava is a suite of core and expanded libraries that include utility classes, google’s collections, io classes, concurrency support and other features.
Guava has two code dependencies - javax.annotation per the JSR-305 spec and javax.inject per the JSR-330 spec.
There are three methods to install libguava-java on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libguava-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libguava-java using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libguava-java
Install libguava-java Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libguava-java using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libguava-java
Install libguava-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libguava-java using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libguava-java
How To Uninstall libguava-java on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the libguava-java package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libguava-java
Uninstall libguava-java And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libguava-java and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libguava-java
Remove libguava-java Configurations and Data
To remove libguava-java configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libguava-java
Remove libguava-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
