on Ubuntu.
What is libgdal30
libgdal30 is:
GDAL is a translator library for raster geospatial data formats. As a library, it presents a single abstract data model to the calling application for all supported formats. The related OGR library (which lives within the GDAL source tree) provides a similar capability for simple features vector data.
GDAL supports many popular data formats, including commonly used ones (GeoTIFF, JPEG, PNG and more) as well as the ones used in GIS and remote sensing software packages (ERDAS Imagine, ESRI Arc/Info, ENVI, PCI Geomatics). Also supported many remote sensing and scientific data distribution formats such as HDF, EOS FAST, NOAA L1B, NetCDF, FITS.
OGR library supports popular vector formats like ESRI Shapefile, TIGER data, S57, MapInfo File, DGN, GML and more.
This package contains the shared library.
There are three methods to install libgdal30
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude

Install libgdal30 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libgdal30
using apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libgdal30
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libgdal30
How To Uninstall libgdal30 on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the libgdal30
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libgdal30
Uninstall libgdal30 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libgdal30
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgdal30
Remove libgdal30 Configurations and Data
To remove libgdal30
configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgdal30
Remove libgdal30 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libgdal30
