In this tutorial we learn how to install libg20-perl on Ubuntu.

What is libg20-perl

libg20-perl is:

g2 is an easy to use, portable and powerful 2D graphics library. It provides a comprehensive set of functions for simultaneous generation of graphical output to X11 and graphic formats PNG, JPEG and PostScript. g2 is written in ANSI C and provides Fortran and Perl interfaces.

This package provides the g2 perl module.

There are three methods to install libg20-perl on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libg20-perl Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libg20-perl using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libg20-perl

Install libg20-perl Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install libg20-perl using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install libg20-perl

Install libg20-perl Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install libg20-perl using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install libg20-perl

How To Uninstall libg20-perl on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the libg20-perl package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libg20-perl

Uninstall libg20-perl And Its Dependencies

To uninstall libg20-perl and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libg20-perl

Remove libg20-perl Configurations and Data

To remove libg20-perl configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libg20-perl

Remove libg20-perl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove libg20-perl configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libg20-perl
