In this tutorial we learn how to install libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin on Ubuntu.
What is libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin
libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin is:
D-Bus is a message bus, used for sending messages between applications. Conceptually, it fits somewhere in between raw sockets and CORBA in terms of complexity.
This package is an implementation detail of libdbus-glib-1-dev and should not be depended on directly. It provides the dbus-binding-tool, used to generate code for a deprecated GLib-based D-Bus library. New code should use GDBus, part of GLib, instead.

There are three methods to install libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin
Install libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin
How To Uninstall libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin

To remove libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin
Remove libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libdbus-glib-1-dev-bin
