What is libcrypto++-doc
libcrypto++-doc is:
Crypto++ is library for creating C++ programs which use cryptographic algorithms. The library uses a Pipes & Filters architecture with heavy use of templates and abstract base classes. The cryptographic tools include:
- Authenticated encryption schemes (GCM, CCM, EAX),
- High speed stream ciphers (Panama, Sosemanuk, Salsa20, XSalsa20),
- AES and candidates (Rijndael, RC6, MARS, Twofish, Serpent, CAST-256),

- Message authentication codes (VMAC, HMAC, CMAC, CBC-MAC, DMAC, Two-Track-MAC),

There are three methods to install libcrypto++-doc on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libcrypto++-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libcrypto++-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libcrypto++-doc
Install libcrypto++-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libcrypto++-doc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libcrypto++-doc
Install libcrypto++-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libcrypto++-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libcrypto++-doc
How To Uninstall libcrypto++-doc on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the libcrypto++-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libcrypto++-doc
Uninstall libcrypto++-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libcrypto++-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libcrypto++-doc
